Breastfeeding Challenges - Infant
The Breastfeeding Challenges: Infant course will identify potential problems that can arise in breastfeeding (for the infant) and provide strategies and alternatives to assist and manage those situations. Poor infant weight gain is also covered.
Course Content

Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course the participant should be able to:
- identifying potential problems and how they can be prevented
- promoting effective management techniques for existing problems
- applying knowledge to seek alternative solutions, and
- apply all these principles to poor weight gain.

Target Audience
Any clinical or non-clinical employee of a health institution who is required to have an understanding of breastfeeding practice. This can include non-clinical staff (such as cleaners, cooks etc) through to nurses, midwives, doctors and lactation consultants.
Accreditation
This course has been endorsed by the Australian College of Midwives and attracts 1 MidPLUS and 1.5L CERPs point upon successful completion.
